A Typical School Day

at Eden Park

 

The opening and closing times of the school are 08.40 -15.10 and the school is open for 32.5 hours a week. 

 

Nursery Opening Times - 9am - 3pm 

 

8:40 Registration. 

Children are welcomed into their classes.

 

Morning Learning is usually focussed on reading, writing and maths.

​

All classes take part in a 'Take 10' exercise session daily.

 

Classes take a 15 minute break times during the morning.

Children can bring in fruit or a healthy cereal bar for a break time snack.

 

9.00 Nursery  opens

12:00 Nursery and Reception children go to the hall for lunch.

​

12:15 First lunch sitting for Kingfishers and Herons Classes 

​

12:45 Second lunch sitting for Puffins and Swallows Classes

​

On some days there are clubs running at lunchtimes and there are lots of different things for children to play with on the playground. During the autumn term, Year 5 playleaders are trained to run peer games. 

​

1:30 Children return to class for afternoon learning.

​

2.30 Whole Assembly or class act of worship

2.50 Class reader 

​

3.00 Nursey children leave to go home 

​

3:10 Children leave to go home.
